I met chicken shredder when I was just a boy. At that young age, unbeknownst to me, he already embarked on his life-long quest of perfecting the art of shredding chicken. Sure, there were many great chicken shredders before him, but it didn't seem to faze him at all. Even the teachers told him, "Hey, you can't shred chicken in my classroom!". He smiled and looked up at them briefly before bringing a plate of freshly shredded chicken to the front of the room. The teacher only took one bite before apologizing profusely and begging chicken shredder to stick around for lunch time. This was a common occurrence and you could often find him shredding chicken with his bare hands during homeroom, in between classes, and even at the school sporting events in the bleachers. No one dared to question his craft at this point and anyone foolish enough to try was met with a mouthful of chicken. I'll never forget that chicken or chicken shredder himself. It always tasted like it was hot off the grill. It's a miracle that chicken shredder appeared to suffer no burns on his hands. Whenever you found yourself hungry, you could be sure to find chicken shredder around ready to help out his common man. I remember being extremely hungover on one particular cold grey day, all I had left was a roll of telera bread and a few dollars in my pocket. I knocked on chicken shredder's door. Tears were welling up in my eye as I showed him the roll. He took his hand out of his chicken-shredding bag and whipped up a torta right in front of my eyes. I bit in and my hunger dissolved like a working man's worries after a cold beer on a hot summer night. Los 3 Panchos reminds me of chicken shredder in many ways. I was feeling kind of down one day when I strolled into their establishment, the clerk joked with me and I walked out of the shop feeling a bit better. Shortly after digging into my food, I felt refreshed and rejuvenated. It's really solid food and the prices don't kill you as you look at your takeout order total like most places. If you're in the neighborhood, I recommend you check it out. If not for me, then for chicken shredder at least.

I have been going to Los 3 Panchos since I was a child and lived around the corner. We came every week for what me and my brother deemed taco Tuesday. At times we'd go twice a week for a taco Thursday. This place is very special and nostalgic. I moved back to chicago after college and still this place maintains the best tacos in the city. Now after moving away I still make time for my taco run when visiting. These tacos are great both daytime and late night post bar snack.

Got a quesadilla to go for my little one for lunch and she loved it! Friendly staff and quick service!

Simply excellent. No frills, just high quality, authentic and incredibly tasty Mexican food. Staff is friendly and the food is delivered quickly. Must try.

Such good food! I used to come here all the time in college about five years ago. I recently moved back to Lakeview and decided to give it another chance. wow it was much better than I even remembered it being. I got the taco and quesadilla and both were fantastic. The man who took my order was super nice and offered me water without even having to ask. Will be back!

One of the best in the city. Glad to see my friends are still going strong after all these years! Order what you like, you won't be disappointed, although I am a big fan of any of their steak items. Good people too!

We have LOVED Los Tres over the years. Being a San Diego expat, I've missed true taco shops, and like all taco shops, you have to give them a little grace. The place is going to have grease and you might get hot sauce on your sleeve - it's a rite of passage. The staff is always incredibly friendly. I had to wash my hands once and they allowed me to, even though restrooms aren't open to public. I'm a germaphobe (eating in a taco shop) so I appreciated that! Food is on point and hits the spot for dinner or a late night meal. My husband and I love to order their bean and cheese burrito suizo - the best in the city in my opinion!!! Their steak quesadilla, cilantro and onion steak or pork tacos, nachos, or steak burritos. You can't really go wrong with any of it. I will say their guac is not my favorite but it might be yours. Overall, they're five stars just for nostalgic reasons and they never miss. Whether you go in person or order via DoorDash.

This place is the best! I go here whenever I want a hefty burrito and they never disappoint. The people working are always very helpful and if you can get a table it's nice to sit. I just wish they had bigger plastic or reusable tableware!

Did takeout - good service and pretty fast. Food was pretty tasty as I got a burrito. Ambiance -pretty hole in the wall with limited seating but clean and would go again.
